Profound shift in kind of families who are home schooling their children

Parents who home-school children increasingly are white, wealthy and well-educated — and their numbers have nearly doubled in a decade, a new federal government report says. What else has nearly doubled? The percentage of girls who are home-schooled. They now outnumber home-schooled boys by a wide margin. (more)

    Home Schooling is getting more popular down in Australia as well. As most of us here are white, only about 2% not white, that question is not relevant here. As far a wealthy goes, I'm doing OK, but I find home schooling to be very cheap, only costs around $1,000 a year and currently we home school the four youngest, we have 8 and have home schooled them all for over 20 years now. Great to hear that homeschooling is increasing in the US.
